How to Stop STIs from Starting -
There is only one sure way to not get an STI: don't have sex (vaginal, oral, or anal).

If you do have sex, try to:

Limit number of sex partners

Use latex condoms

Use latex barriers

Tell partner if you have an STI

Before sex:

Talk to your partner. Ask if they have been tested

Get tested together: test your urine (pee) for two common STI's - chlamydia and gonorrhea

Using condoms is the best way to prevent an STI

Is alcohol OK?
Alcohol can lead to unsafe choices. People who drink are more likely to have unplanned sex and sex without a condom, which can lead to STI's and pregnancy.
